THE FLIGHT DECK
Privacy statement
Last updated: October 7, 2026
This statement describes how The Flight Deck handles information when you browse lessons, use study tools, or sign in to save your work.
For privacy questions or requests about your information, contact The Flight Deck at Matthewalman10@gmail.com.
Information used by the site
- Browsing: hosting and service providers receive connection information such as your IP address, requested pages, browser information, and request times when delivering and protecting the service.
- Accounts: Clerk handles sign-in and account information, including the details you provide when creating an account. If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile photo) with Clerk for authentication. The application links saved study data to your Clerk account identifier.
- Study activity: when signed in, Convex stores lesson completion, saved lessons, recent visits, and submitted ACS quiz attempts and results. These records support progress and review features.
- Local exercises: ordinary lesson interactions and unsigned-in practice run in your browser. Visiting a lesson does not require creating an account.
Cookies and browser storage
Clerk uses cookies and browser storage for authentication and session management. Blocking that storage may prevent sign-in from working. Our notice acknowledgment is stored in local storage under flight-deck-cookie-notice-v1; the site asks again after 180 days. You can clear it through your browser settings.
The current application does not include optional analytics or advertising cookies. “Got it” acknowledges the notice; it does not authorize future tracking or accept contractual terms. If optional tracking is introduced, its controls and this statement will need to change before it runs.
Services that receive information
Vercel hosts the website, Clerk provides authentication, and Convex stores account-linked study data. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your connection information when your browser requests them. External source links take you to websites governed by their own privacy statements.
Retention and your choices
You can browse lessons without signing in, remove saved lessons, change completion selections, and clear browser storage. Clearing cookies or signing out does not delete account-linked study records. Saved study records do not currently have an automatic expiry. To request access, correction, or deletion, email Matthewalman10@gmail.com. We may need to verify that the request relates to your account. Service-provider logs and backups may have separate retention periods.
Changes to this statement
We will update this page when the site’s data practices change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
